4# Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship (GSV):

3.0 weighted grade point average in all required classes
a cumulative unweighted grade point average of 3.5 in career education classes
3 complete credits earned in a single Career and Technical Education course
30 hours of community service or 100 hours of paid work

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a citizen of the United States or an eligible noncitizen, as decided by the student’s postsecondary school, in addition to being a resident of Florida.
  • After receiving your high school diploma, you have until the 31st of August to finish the FFAA.
  • Either get a high school diploma from a Florida public high school, a Florida private high school that is registered with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE), or a home education program that meets the requirements of a regular Florida high school diploma.
  • Unless the student has been granted clemency by the Governor and Cabinet sitting as the Executive
  • Office of Clemency, they must not have been found guilty of a criminal offense or have entered a plea of nolo contendere to the charge.
  • Obtain acceptance into, and enrollment in, a degree or certificate program at an eligible postsecondary institution located in Florida that is either public or independent.
  • Have a minimum of six non-remedial semester credit hours (or the equivalent in quarter or clock hours) for each term that you are enrolled in school.

Specific Eligibility Requirements:

  • Complete your secondary education at a public high school in Florida and earn the conventional diploma required for graduation in Florida.
  • Obtain the needed minimum score on either the ACT® or SAT® college entrance exam by the 30th of
