The goal of the Hurford Youth Leadership Exchange Program is to develop participants’ leadership abilities. Participants in the Hurford Youth Fellowship Program will take part in strategic meetings, do research, organize and deliver presentations, and share information. There should be no one older than 30 years old among the participants. All of the Participants Will Reside in Washington, DC for the Entire Duration of the Program Which Is Three Months. The Hurford Youth Fellowship will begin on the first of March 2024 and continue until the last day of May 2024. You shouldn’t be concerned about your grade point average or academic education. Financial Benefits:
The Hurford Youth Fellowship Program 2023 is an International Youth Exchange Program that is Completely Funded by the Program. The Fellowship will pay for all of your expenses over the entirety of the Program, including things like the following:
- Allowance paid every month to help cover basic living costs
- Insurance for Medical Care
Fellows are given with fully equipped offices, including internet and email access, as well as a limited budget for fellowship-related long-distance phone calls. Round-trip air travel tickets to and from Washington, D.C.
Note: Applicants should keep in mind that the cost of living in the Washington metropolitan region is very high (housing, furniture, food, and other important living expenditures), and that fellowship stipends are not designed to fulfill the financial requirements of a family. If a fellow wishes to bring family members or other dependents with them to Washington, D.C., they will be responsible for covering the costs of their dependents’ travel to and accommodation inside the United States, including both the outbound and return journeys. In most cases, the program will not pay for the costs that are associated with providing health insurance for dependents. Please be aware that in order to enter the United States on a J-2 dependent visa, all accompanying dependents will be required to hold at least the most fundamental form of health insurance coverage for the entirety of their trip.

Do you have some fantastic ideas on how democracy might be promoted in the community where you live? Are you prepared to develop your abilities as a leader? Would you be interested in interacting with other influential young people from other parts of the world?
- Young democratic advocates from all around the world are encouraged to apply for the Hurford Youth
- Fellowship Program, which aims to develop their leadership abilities and help them realize their full potential.
- By participating in the Program, young activists are given the opportunity to spend three months at the Secretariat of the World Movement for Democracy. During this time, they have the opportunity to broaden their global connections, share their experiences with other democracy movement activists from around the world, and contribute to the development of the World Movement for Democracy and the World Youth Movement for Democracy.

The Applicant Form consists of the following four sections:
- A Proposal for a Project Concerning Individual Data
- The most significant component of your application for the fellowship is the project proposal you have prepared. It need to be straightforward, succinct, and understandable even to people who are not specialists in the same topic or specialty as you are.
a curriculum vitae, often known as a resume (CV). - In your curriculum vitae or resume, you should highlight the professional experience, educational background, community service, and/or extracurricular activities that are most relevant to your position.
- Two letters of recommendation are required.
- Note that every candidate is required to fill out all sections of the form. It is important to note that incomplete application forms will not be considered for consideration.
Eligibility Criteria for Hurford Youth Fellowship:
- It is important to note that applicants can come from any country and can be any nationality.
- They must demonstrate a significant interest in democratic activity and in the growth of democracy in their particular communities as well as worldwide. Applicants for the Hurford Youth Fellows Program must be no older than 30 years of age. Applicants must also demonstrate that they are engaged in the program. You are especially urged to apply if you are a young person involved with a civil society organization.
- For reasons relating to general communication, having a good command of the English language is a necessary need for taking part in the Program.
